Hello everyone and welcome
to the Path of
Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the first Monday
of the
month and it is time for our latest challenge to begin! We hope that you
and your families continue to stay healthy during a time in
our lives that continue to challenge us in ways we never imagined! Hopefully you are still able to find bright spots in each day to help you through it.
Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to
understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win
any of the prizes offered. If
you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus
behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details'
tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a
summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right
sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.
Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...
Challenge #91
Optional Twist:
Change Your ENVIRONMENT
As we continue this year's goal to encourage you to usher more positivity into your life, this month we want you to design a creation that focuses on CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT. Some may interpret changing one's environment by going somewhere else; this might include vacation themes, moving, even a bike ride or fantasizing/dreaming about such things! You could also celebrate someone else’s vacation or new home with a card. Others might see changing their environment as painting a room or creating something for your home, car or workspace! In other words, changing or making something for your environment that makes you happy! Whichever direction you lean towards, this month it is time to change things up a bit.
In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Prizes this month include:
- TWO images from All Dressed Up Stamps, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
- ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
- One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
Talking of our guest sponsor...
We are very pleased to have All Dressed Up Stamps join us as this month's guest sponsor. It is time for us to refresh ourselves with the details of this wonderful company!Hi, my name’s Wendy, founder of All Dressed Up. I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children (my inspiration behind the characters) - in particular, my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with trends and all things digital. Day to day, I work as a textile designer working traditionally within childrenswear, fashion and interiors. Although my work is mostly digital, my work process remains hand-drawn which I hope comes across in my artwork.
All Dressed Up was created in 2013 as a place to share my digital stamps which back then was a whole new challenge for me. Since, I’ve been lucky to have discovered a whole creative community and welcomed the All Dressed Up design team who have been amazing to work with. Through our online community and Instagram, the team keep me on my toes to keep on drawing, creating and inspiring. My favourite thing is seeing how my characters are continually given brand new personalities!
On our Facebook and Instagram page we host regular tutorials, challenges (and freebies!) and is the real heart of our community. The stamps are available from the All Dressed Up Etsy shop which is continually updated on a monthly basis with lots of limited edition and seasonal stamps available in particular.
The All Dressed Up community is a friendly bunch (if I do say so myself!) and we would love for you to get involved, see your work and for you to share your stamping tips too! Do get in contact and be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we’re creating at the moment.

using Pretty as a picture
My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.
So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. Sometimes all we need is a little CHANGE IN OUR ENVIRONMENT in order to put ourselves in a more positive frame of mind. Something as simple a planting a garden or painting a room can do the trick for some people. Others need something a bit bigger and a change of scenery altogether might do the trick. What kinds of things have you done in your own life to CHANGE YOUR ENVIRONMENT to bring about transformation? Do you do little things like changing the curtains, getting some new pillows, or creating art to hang on the walls? Or, are you more the type to go on vacation to kick-start a switch up in your life? If you'd like to tell us how the concept of CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT impacts your life, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like. Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.
I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #90. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.
Then, be sure to join us again on May 17th when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects made with designs from All Dressed Up Stamps along with projects made with images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors.
If you ever have any questions be sure to EMAIL ME or just leave me a comment.
We look forward to seeing you participate!
