Ch. #98--Anything Goes POSITIVE with the Opt. Twist of Celebrate Something Special about YOUR FAMILY

Hello everyone and welcome to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! Now while I am running a couple hours late, it is still the first Monday of the month and it is time for our latest challenge to begin! We hope that you and your families continue to stay healthy in this crazy world of ours. While infection rates seem to be up, it appears that the current dominance of the omicron variant means that people aren't getting as sick as with previous strains. Hopefully the effects will continue to wane and we'll finally get control over this awful virus that has hurt so many people in our world.

Before we start, I just wanted to once again say thank you for the well wishes and prayers that several of you left or sent me regarding my parents' health. They continue on their path to healing from covid--now I just have to hope that their other health issues stay in check for a while. I realize that things will only become more challenging as they continue to age and I age as well. As life continues to unfold, I hope that positivity will seep into my pores and keep me from going down a darker path.

I also wanted to say thanks for understanding about the time I had to take off to deal with stress and scare related to my parents' illness, and also understanding about the changes I've needed to make in order to keep the challenge running (if you missed that post and would like to read about the changes for 2022, click HERE). I am hoping that with the changes we are implementing (here and on my other challenge blog), I will be able to free up some time and reduce the amount of stress I've been experiencing trying to juggle my online life with my offline one.

Now back to the Link Up. Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'. I've just finished updating these pages with all the changes so hopefully I haven't missed anything.

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Challenge #98

Anything Goes POSITIVE with the Opt. Twist of

Celebrate Something Special about YOUR FAMILY

This year's goal is to celebrate the positive around us. As such, this month we want you to design a creation that focuses on Celebrating Something Special about YOUR FAMILY. February is generally a month when we think about and reach out to the people who mean the most to us: our various family members. So, it is the perfect month to choose one or more family members that you love (or even someone that you love that is no longer with you) and then find something special about them that you want to celebrate. Think about your family member(s) and the many attributes that are part of their personality. What unique attributes draw you to each individual? For example, you could focus on how big someone's heart is, or how kind a relative is to others. You might look to celebrate a loved one's sense of humour and just how much you rely on them making you laugh. Maybe, one or more people in your family are an incredible support system for you in times of need. There are so many attributes that you can choose from. This month, it is time to reflect on a unique characteristic of one or more family members and share it with others. Show the world Something Special about YOUR FAMILY in your effort to celebrate the Positivity that already exists in your life.

In order to be considered eligible for this month's honours and prize, remember that general types of projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Honours and Prizes include:

  • $6 worth of images from Scribbles Designs, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • A badge for the following honours: Top Pick, Voter's Choice, Most Inspirational, Random Winner, DT Delight.
Now check out what my amazing design team came up with to inspire you. Clicking on each team member's name will take you to their blog where you can check out the details for their inspirational creations. Pat had some time and is joining us this month!

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of Celebrating Something Special about their FAMILY exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.

So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. Who are the important FAMILY members in your own life that you can celebrate something special about? This is the perfect month to share just what is so special about your own FAMILY. If you'd like to tell us something special about your FAMILY, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like. Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.

I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #97. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.

Then, be sure to join us again on February 21st when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects.

If you ever have any questions be sure to EMAIL ME or just leave me a comment.

We look forward to seeing you participate!
