Ch. #99--Anything Goes POSITIVE with the Opt. Twist of Celebrate Something Special about YOUR CHILDHOOD

Hello everyone and welcome to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the first Monday of the month and it is time for our latest challenge to begin! We hope that you and your families continue to stay healthy in this crazy world of ours. If you or any of your family are affected by the current war in Ukraine, please know that my heart goes out to all those from this incredibly beautiful and culturally enriched country. If more people out there made the effort to bring more Positivity into their lives and the lives of those around them, maybe one day our world would know peace.

I may not have the power to affect much in this world but I can do my best to continue to host this blog in order to share Positivity in my corner of the internet by keeping this Link Up alive. Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'. I've just finished updating these pages with all the changes so hopefully I haven't missed anything.

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Challenge #99

Anything Goes POSITIVE with the Opt. Twist of

Celebrate Something Special about YOUR CHILDHOOD

This year's goal is to celebrate the positive around us. As such, if you would like to participate in the optional twist this month, we want you to design a creation that focuses on Celebrating Something Special about YOUR CHILDHOOD. For some, childhood was a time of innocence, freedom, wonder and happiness. While for others, childhood unfortunately may have been a time that posed numerous challenges. We are all different and our childhood experiences helped to form who we are today. Even if you were one of those people who had a difficult childhood, hopefully there were certain events or times that stood out to you and left you with some fond memories. Thinking back to when you were a kid, what happy memories stand out to you? Choose one or more of those memories and create a project that celebrates that unique time in your life. If you need some specific examples, check out the 2nd paragraph under the projects. If you are short on actual memories, maybe you could create a design that depicts your favourite colours and/or patterns from when you were a youth. This month, it is time to dig deep into your memories and show the world Something Special about YOUR CHILDHOOD in your effort to celebrate the Positivity that already exists in your life.

Remember, the twist is completely optional and you don't need to follow it in order to win. However, in order to be considered eligible for this month's goodies, remember that general types of projects/posts will not qualify for the honours and prize UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Honours and Prize include:

  • $6 worth of images from Scribbles Designs, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • A badge for the following honours: Top Pick, Voter's Choice, Most Inspirational, Random Winner, DT Delight.

Now check out what my amazing design team came up with to inspire you. Clicking on each team member's name will take you to their blog where you can check out the details for their inspirational creations.

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of Celebrating Something Special about their CHILDHOOD exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.

So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. What are some memories from YOUR CHILDHOOD that you can celebrate something special about? Did you have a favourite game or a favourite toy that brought joy to your days? Were you a budding fashionista holding fashion shows for the neighbourhood? Were you one of those kids holding court with your dolls and stuffed animals, having tea parties and other social events? Or, perhaps you were one of those kids who performed for friends or family whether by acting out plays, singing, dancing or playing an instrument. Did you enjoy or hate school? Did you have a favourite sport that you played well at or a hobby that you really enjoyed? If you'd like to tell us something special about YOUR CHILDHOOD, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like. Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.

I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #98. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.

Then, be sure to join us again on March 21st when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects. Oh, and I'll get the winner announcement for December's link up published as soon as I can manage.

If you ever have any questions be sure to EMAIL ME or just leave me a comment.

We look forward to seeing you participate!

  1. Oh bummer. Been working on writing a big grant and missed this deadline. However, I've already posted the card to my blog- so will share the link here. It's a good card that holds some wonderful memories of my oldest brother! https://myasperations.blogspot.com/2022/04/myasperations-4-1-22.html
