Challenge #86--Opt. Twist: REJOICE...Nov. 30─Jan. 3

Hello everyone and welcome to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! We hope that you all continue to find positive moments and occasions of joy during a very difficult time in our world. It has been quite the year, hasn't it?! While our world continues to struggle with the events of the past 12 months, it is important that we push to strive for positivity in our lives. If our thoughts become reality, it is important to try and make them as positive as we are able to under the trying circumstances that the world continues to face on a daily basis.

Typically, our challenges do not start until the first Monday of the month. However, as mentioned previously, due to the approach of the Christmas holidays, we are taking advantage of there being five Mondays in November and posting the start of our challenge today. This will allow us to wrap everything up by December 21st and give myself and the team a couple weeks off during Christmas and New Year.

This of course means that there will be a one week overlap between challenge #85 and challenge #86. Players will still have one week in order to link up any cards to our GRATITUDE challenge if they would like (entries for challenge #85 will be accepted until Dec. 6th as originally scheduled) plus start linking up to new challenge during this same week.

As we are moving up the start of the challenge, this means that the rest of events will move up one week as well. Here is the full schedule. All times are Eastern Standard Time:
  • Participants can continue to link up any projects for Challenge #85, with the opt. twist of GRATITUDE, until Sunday, December 6th, 11:59 p.m.
  • Challenge #86 starts Monday, November 30th, 2020, 6:00 p.m.
  • Top Picks for #85 will be posted Monday, December 7th, 2020, 6:00 p.m.
  • Midway for #86 will be posted Monday, December 14th, 2020, 6:00 p.m.
  • Winners for #85 will be posted Monday, December 21st, 2020, 6:00 p.m.

I hope that this change (for the upcoming challenge only) will not be too confusing. If you have any questions, please be sure to leave a comment.

Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Challenge #86

Optional Twist: REJOICE

This challenge, our optional twist is REJOICE. For many, this time of year is an occasion for happiness. While the pandemic makes this year harder to get together with those you may normally spend time with during the holiday season, there are still many reasons we have to rejoice. Thus, we want you to create a project that reflects the JOY of the holiday season.

In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of  projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Prizes this month include:
  • A $10 gift certificate from Limited Runs, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Talking of our guest sponsor...

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of REJOICING exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.

So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. While this year has been a hard one for many, there are still things out there that can be bring joy and happiness to your life. If it is difficult to think of the big things that make you joyful, try to think about the small things. What do you have in your life to REJOICE over? Do the people in your life help to bring joy during the difficult times? What little routines do you have that help to make you happy? If you'd like to tell us how the concept of REJOICING impacts your life, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like. Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.

I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #85. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.

Then, be sure to join us again on December 14th when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects made with designs from  Limited Runs along with projects made with images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors.

Hello everyone. As mentioned at the end of the winner announcement this past Monday, we're going to be changing the dates for Challenge #86. In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of  projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Each of these creations has demonstrated the theme of GRATITUDE admirably and I hope we have encouraged you throughout this challenge to come up with your own piece of handiwork. Be sure to go and visit these talented ladies so you can see just how their projects tie in to the twist.

Why not join us, if you haven't entered already? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. We all have something in our lives which we can be grateful for. Even during the difficult times we are currently facing caused by the covid-19 pandemic, some people being much more affected than others, there are small things we can find for which we can be grateful. What are you grateful for and how do you express your GRATITUDE? Being thankful, not just for the larger things but for the smaller ones too, allows us to fill our lives with love and appreciation. It reminds us of all the good things that we have going for us. While GRATITUDE won't make the difficult things we are facing in our life go away, it will help to provide us with a different perspective. Whether the act of GRATITUDE comes easy to you or not, it is definitely worth the effort. Remember, everything in life that has any importance, takes hard work to achieve. If you'd like to tell us how the concept of GRATITUDE impacts your life, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit. Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it is just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post! You can find our list of participants and enter our latest challenge yourself by clicking HERE and scrolling down to the bottom of the post.
