Design Team Delights for Challenge #4

The entries in Challenge #4 were just amazing, weren't they?  Just as you all got to voice who your favourite was, so did the Design Team.  However, it wasn't easy with so many incredible entries! Thank you to everyone of you who joined along our Path last month for challenge #4.  You really made it very difficult for the team to choose their favourites! Here are the ones that really stood out and inspired our team...
Donna Ellis--chosen by Desíre and Sandy...
Desíre was particularly moved by this passage from Donna's post:
"We have been given so many opportunities to care for others, and I'm grateful for each one. One of my fondest Christmas memories was  the year we "brought" a Cozy and Warm Christmas to a family experiencing extreme hardship. Without going into details, we anonymously left everything needed for the month of December on the porch of a family experiencing extreme hardship a few days before Christmas. SO FUN!"
Here is what Sandy had to say:
"My #4 choice is Donna Ellis.  I liked her challenge to create a mail-able card but also and more so, her comment of caring.  Delivering a holiday hamper and the humbleness and caring for helping out a family…"

Deb--chosen by Suze & Vicky...

Suze and Vicky favoured the incredibly inspiring and moving post that Deb wrote.

This is what Vicky had to say:
"Wow what an incredibly caring woman she is to have taken this baby into her life as well as helping this young lady to get back on her feet.  She really touched me with the comment...
"I hope that someone would care this much and help if it were my child going through this. I believe without a shadow of a doubt that there are enough good people out there to make this world a better place if we can just help each other."
Being a mom this really brought tears to my eyes!!! So yes this is my choice and I'm sticking with it!!!!"

Suze was moved by two parts in particular...
"The first relates to the person Deb was helping:
"There haven't been a lot of good solid people in her life and as such she has a hard time trusting. Over the last few weeks we've built a friendship and I am trying hard to help her understand that good people do exist that there are people who care."

and also a more general statement":
"I believe without a shadow of a doubt that there are enough good people out there to make this world a better place if we can just help each other."

 Princess--chosen by Lisa (that's me)...

While I was truly taken by both inspirational pieces set forth above, I was also very moved by the card and story behind it, offered up by Princess.  She volunteers to teach scrapbooking to cancer survivors to help them turn their pictures into cherished memories.  Princess' bright and hopeful outlook is the exact kind of stop on the path that I look for. One can easily sense all the caring and love that has gone into creating this special card.

Princess herself states, " It gives them a sense of hope that life goes on and their story must be told."    I'm very impressed by her dedication to help teach people how to track their journeys so that they can be comforted in leaving their legacy behind for others to see.

Creative Congratulations to all of you!

Thank you to everyone who played on our Pathway during the month of July.  You all did an amazing job.  The hard work you put into your creations was very apparent.  Now if you were chosen as a DT Delight, then we have a special treat for you.   Not only are you eligible for a special DT Delight badge, we will also be having a draw at the end of the year for a special package of digital goodies.  So, if you are chosen as a DT Delight during any of our challenges, your name will be entered into the draw.  You get one entry per choice; so, if two members picked your card, you will earn 2 entries.  The draw will take place around the anniversary of when the Path of Positivity came into existence which will put the draw date sometime in April 2014.  The winner at the time will be notified by email.  In the interim you are more than welcome to copy your framed card above and add it to your blog to share with all your readers; and, don't forget to EMAIL ME for a copy of the special Challenge #4 DT Delight Badge.

Thank you for stopping by today.  We hope that you will join us again tomorrow to learn what the newest theme for Challenge #6 will be.

Challenge #5--Midway & Voting Reminder

Hello everyone and welcome to the midway point of Challenge #5.  The theme for this month's challenge is OPTIMISM.  I am sorry if you find this post lacking in its usual amount of detail.  I'm rather sick at the moment and it is a bit of struggle to even be up at all.  However, I am optimistic that this too shall pass and that I'll be back in the swing of things very soon.

I have some great inspiration to show you for our midway point.  The team has done a fabulous job once again.

First up we have...

Vicky has used the sweet image, Pooch Leaf, from our wonderful regular sponsor, Ike's Art.  If you are interested in purchasing this cute little pup, click on the watermark to head to the Animal section of the store.

 Next up is...

Ike decided to work with  the image called Chick's First Flight from our guest sponsor this month.  This is one of my favourite Fresh Brewed Designs images as the optimism just oozes right out of this little guy.  You can purchase this adorable little chick by clicking on the watermark which will take you directly to the store.   Ike has paired it up with one of the quotes I created for the team to use.

Next we have our newest member of the team...

Samara also chose to work with Chick's First Flight but in her case, she created a whole adorable family of them!

Next is Sandy, who has created not one, but two, wonderful cards to help inspire you...
In her first project, Sandy has chosen to work with the really cool fish image, Fish 1, also from Ike's Art.  If you are interested in purchasing this funky fish, click on the watermark to head to the Animal section of the store.  Sandy has paired it up with one another of the quotes I created for the team to use.
For her second project, Sandy has used Thinking of You--Girl in Window from our guest sponsor for the month.  If you are interested in purchasing this thoughtful image from Fresh Brewed Designs, click on the watermark to head to its location in the store.  This one has also been matched up with a quote created especially for the team.

 Finally, that leaves our...
Chana from Redora Lee and 613 Avenue Create, who is our guest designer this month, created this lovely project...
Chana worked with the wonderful Creative Bug Digital image Ladybug Layover. This cute little pair of ladybugs was created by one of our regular sponsors Naomi. You can find it in the store by clicking on the watermark below.  Chana decided to pair it with the quote I made available to you all at the beginning of the challenge.  If you are interested in obtaining this free sentiment, please click HERE and scroll down to the bottom of the post.

Clicking on the team members name will take you to their blog where you can check out the details for their inspirational creations!
So if you haven't entered already, what are you waiting for?  Create a project and/or post that is positive AND relates to optimism, provide an explanation of how your project and/or post relates to the theme somewhere in your post or come over and leave a comment with the explanation.  Easy, peasy!

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit.  Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post!

As a reminder, I've included the summary of the challenge details below.  If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog).
Don't Forget...

You still have 3 days to vote on your favourite entry for Challenge #4.  Voting is quick, easy and painless so I hope you will consider casting your vote if you haven't already.  Don't forget, if you leave a comment after voting, you have the opportunity to walk away with a digital paper created especially for you. To check out the Top Seven and cast your vote, click HERE.  You have until Thursday, August 22nd at 11:55 pm to have your say in who walks away with the Voter's Choice prize.  If everything goes according to plan, the winners for Challenge #4 will be announced next Monday.
