Challenge #11--LOVE: February 3 - March 2, 2014

PLEASE NOTE:  I apologize for the delay in getting this post out, especially to my DT who will have already posted theirs.  All afternoon I had issues accessing Blogger and problems with images not showing up.  As a result it has made posting this challenge on time impossible.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.
 
It is the first Monday in February and that means it is time for the next challenge to start.  This time around, for Challenge #11 the theme is "LOVE".  Show us your interpretation of what love means to you.  You can make any sort of project and/or post as long as it is positive in nature and relates to the theme.  We can't survive without love so make sure that the people in your life know just how special they are to you.

Don't forget when you link up your project and/or post, to please leave a comment letting us know how your creation relates to the concept of love if it isn't readily clear within the design itself or clearly written somewhere else in your post.   Remember, the creation must be positive/inspirational/motivational AND adhere to the theme of love in order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes.  While you may easily see how love relates to your creation, it may not be as apparent to me or the DT members.  That is why we ask that you clarify it somewhere, whether here or in your blogpost.  This way it clears up any ambiguity that may exist.

First up we have my second favourite frog (my first is my husband) sharing his love with us, Carl I Heart You...

If an amphibian can win your heart, then this one certainly will.  Carl is quite a suave frog and has his eyes on the ladies.  My heart certainly leaps for him.  Does yours?

Some of the DT also got to work with this pretty image called Heart Doodle 2...

Show someone you care by sharing your heart with them.  A great way to do so would be to create a card with a bunch of hearts.  The more hearts the merrier and this image is certainly full of them!

One of the DT worked with this sweetie pie, another beloved Scribbles Designs character, Brrr.  The name of this image is called Brrr My Valentine...

Brrr has such a big heart and he'd love to share it with you too.  Wouldn't Brrr My Valentine be perfect on a Valentine's Day card?  V Day will be here before you know it and each of the above images would be perfect for a card you need to create to let someone close to you, know how much they mean to you.

Now as it turns out, one of the DT, Suze, also happened to use one of the Scribbles Designs images that she has in her own personal collection.  The extra image she used is called, Sweethearts...

While Suze used the coloured version of the image, it is also available in black and white line art for you to colour in yourself.

We are very pleased to have Helene a.k.a. Nick, from Nick's Scrap Shack, as our guest designer this month...

Hi!  My name is Helene Siermans. I am 36 years old, soon 37. I live in a little village called Askeby in Sweden with my very supportive husband, and my two children. They are the main reason I scrap. I love to scrap the fun and everyday moments as my children grow and change. I also love to scrap about travel, nature, animals and everyday things (like dishwashers, yes they are the best!). I do a lot of different types of paper crafting such as cards, mini albums and altered items. I've got a really bad paper fetish and can´t help to buy some as soon as I see something that I like. I've also got a pretty bad coffee addiction, lol. Love to sit by the computer looking through my blog list with a coffee beside me… At the moment I teach year 2 in the Swedish Primary school. I love it! Children give you so much back.  I also like to be outside in my garden and read books. I´m so happy to be a Guest Designer for the Path of Positivity this month. Thanks for having me!

Gloria--chosen by Lisa (that's me)...

I chose Gloria not only for her cute creation but my decision was based as much, on what she had to say.  Gloria talked about the joy that we experience during the holidays and what this time of year means to her. There is so much joy to be experienced in life and Christmas time is certainly a time when we tend to feel more of it. I agreed with her on how nice it is to share with family and friends and especially to see the look of joy on someone's face as they receive something given from the heart. But Gloria also talked about remembering those around us that don't feel joy during the holidays due to the circumstances in their own lives. It is important that we remember those that struggle at Christmas time too.  We can only hope the best for them and if possible help them to once again find a path filled with joy.
