Challenge #91--Opt. Twist: Change Your ENVIRONMENT...Midway

Hey folks! Welcome back to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the third Monday of the month and that means that it is time to present the midway for Challenge #91. Before we start, I just want to say that I hope that each of you continue to stay well in your own little communities across this world.

As we are a unique kind of challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. Please be sure to check out the START POST FOUND HERE for the specific details related to this month's challenge, and you can find out all the general details you need to know in order to participate, by clicking on the 'Challenge Details' tab (located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can now be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.

Right now, it is time to continue with our midway. Here is a refresher of the details for our current twist:

Challenge #91

Optional Twist:

Change Your ENVIRONMENT

As we continue this year's goal to encourage you to usher more positivity into your life, this month we want you to design a creation that focuses on CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT. Some may interpret changing one's environment by going somewhere else; this might include vacation themes, moving, even a bike ride or fantasizing/dreaming about such things! You could also celebrate someone else’s vacation or new home with a card. Others might see changing their environment as painting a room or creating something for your home, car or workspace! In other words, changing or making something for your environment that makes you happy! Whichever direction you lean towards, this month it is time to change things up a bit.

In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Prizes this month include:
  • TWO images from All Dressed Up Stamps, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Talking of our sponsors...

To learn more about All Dressed Up Stamps, this month's guest sponsor, be sure to check out the START post; and of course, also pay this generous company a visit.

Scribbles Designs will be providing the prize for the Most Inspirational choice during each challenge in 2020. Please be sure to pop over and check out the amazing images offered up by Sandy Sommerfeld, the designer behind Scribbles Designs.

Thanks again to my fabulous design team! As always, each of them have their own exceptional approaches and concepts which impress me to no end. Each of these creations has demonstrated the theme of CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT admirably and I hope we have encouraged you throughout this challenge to come up with your own piece of handiwork. Be sure to go and visit these talented ladies so you can see just how their projects tie in to the twist.

Why not join us, if you haven't entered already? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. Sometimes all we need is a little CHANGE IN OUR ENVIRONMENT in order to put ourselves in a more positive frame of mind. Something as simple a planting a garden or painting a room can do the trick for some people. Others need something a bit bigger and a change of scenery altogether might do the trick. What kinds of things have you done in your own life to CHANGE YOUR ENVIRONMENT to bring about transformation? Do you do little things like changing the curtains, getting some new pillows, or creating art to hang on the walls? Or, are you more the type to go on vacation to kick-start a switch up in your life? If you'd like to tell us how the concept of CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT impacts your life, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit. Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it is just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post! You can find our list of participants and enter our latest challenge yourself by clicking HERE and scrolling down to the bottom of the post.

GENEROUSLY SPONSORED BY…
Please show your support to our wonderful sponsors by going over and checking out their work and saying hi if you have the chance. You may also just find an image or two to add your your collection!

Along with All Dressed Up Stamps, our guest sponsor this challenge, and Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors, we also have two additional ongoing sponsors including...

Ch. #90 Top Picks: Voting Open May 10 to May 17/21

WELCOME TO THE CHALLENGE #90 POP TOP!

Hello folks!  As we continue to endure challenges around the world with the ever-growing new strains of the virus, I hope that your Path this past week has included a number of positive moments along the route and that you and your families are all doing your best to stay healthy.

It is time to present the top picks from the last challenge. Since we had 25 wonderful entries in Challenge #90 (click HERE to see the original challenge with the theme of Share a SMILE/LAUGH), it is time to get on with showcasing the seven projects and/or write-ups that touched the team the most. In case you are new and wondering why seven and not the typical three, four or even five? Any time that we have more than 14 entries, we have a top seven (with 14 entries or under we just have a top three). We always strive to be a bit different over here on the Path of Positivity and this is just another way to do so. Additionally, seven is a spiritual number and thus right in the wheelhouse of the vibe we are looking to project; so, seven it is when enough people join in.

Thus, without further ado, please let me introduce you to the Top Picks for Challenge #90

Congrats Ladies...

As a participant who has been chosen as a Top Pick in this challenge,
you are entitled to a special Challenge #90 Top Pick Badge.
Please feel free to grab a copy for your blog...

HAVE YOUR SAY!

Now the really hard work starts. It is time for you, our readers, to vote for your favourite entry. Which participant most inspires you? Remember, you are not necessarily voting on a creation that was made. You might simply find what the person had to say in their post to be inspiring and optimistic. Please be sure to go and check out the entries first and not just make your choices off of the thumbnails. Then, let us know who your favourite choice is by placing your vote below using the Linky Tools feature. Once you have made your decision, why not go back and let that person know how she inspired you.

 Good luck everyone!

Voting open May 10th
through May 17th

Talking of our guest sponsor...

We are very pleased to have All Dressed Up Stamps join us as this month's guest sponsor. It is time for us to refresh ourselves with the details of this wonderful company!

Hi, my name’s Wendy, founder of All Dressed Up. I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children (my inspiration behind the characters) - in particular, my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with trends and all things digital. Day to day, I work as a textile designer working traditionally within childrenswear, fashion and interiors. Although my work is mostly digital, my work process remains hand-drawn which I hope comes across in my artwork.

All Dressed Up was created in 2013 as a place to share my digital stamps which back then was a whole new challenge for me. Since, I’ve been lucky to have discovered a whole creative community and welcomed the All Dressed Up design team who have been amazing to work with. Through our online community and Instagram, the team keep me on my toes to keep on drawing, creating and inspiring. My favourite thing is seeing how my characters are continually given brand new personalities!

On our Facebook and Instagram page we host regular tutorials, challenges (and freebies!) and is the real heart of our community. The stamps are available from the All Dressed Up Etsy shop which is continually updated on a monthly basis with lots of limited edition and seasonal stamps available in particular.

The All Dressed Up community is a friendly bunch (if I do say so myself!) and we would love for you to get involved, see your work and for you to share your stamping tips too! Do get in contact and be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we’re creating at the moment.

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of CHANGING YOUR ENVIRONMENT exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.

So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life.
