Challenge #81--Opt. Twist: SUCCESS...June 1─July 5

Hello everyone and welcome to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! I hope that you all are doing okay in your various locations around the world as communities take a step to start or progress with opening up as our world deals with the continued effects of the pandemic.

If there wasn't enough to deal with, my heart goes out to those of our readers, followers and friends who are currently caught up in the violence sweeping across the USA. While the horrific and senseless loss of life of an American man demands change and justice, I hope that a more peaceful approach can be found to deal with the situation. The anger and frustration playing out in the streets is certainly justified but violence is not the answer and will just end up hurting more innocent people. Hopefully those involved will find a way to take their frustration and anger and steer it away from violence, somehow channelling it into effective, peaceful action. Now, more than ever, we need positivity to lift us up.

Before I continue with today's post, I wanted to let you all know that Pippa is taking a personal leave of absence to deal with some family issues. I hope that you will join us in wishing her the absolute best, sending her prayers and positive thoughts. Hopefully, she will be able to return to us soon!

One last thing! Please note that this will be the final challenge before we take our summer break. I'll keep reminding you throughout the month and will also post a reminder at the start of July. The Top Picks and Winners for this challenge, #81, will be posted when we resume in August.

Finally, it is time to continue with the reason why you are all here today. It is the first Monday of the month, it is time for our latest challenge to begin!

Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Challenge #81

Optional Twist: SUCCESS

If you decide to follow the optional twist for this challenge, we want to see a project with a focus on SUCCESS. Whether you are congratulating someone on an achievement in their life or praising a person for their triumph, success is the name of the game for this challenge.

In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of  projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Prizes this month include:
  • A $10 gift certificate from Ike's Art, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Talking of our guest sponsor...

We are very pleased to have Ike's Art back as this month's guest sponsor. Here is a refresher of what this company is all about...

Hi there – I am Ike……a nickname that I got hooked with many years ago due to my surname, and in my profession at that time, …… they just loved to give nicknames ☺.

I live in Greece and have a passion for kitties ☺

I am a complete nutter or should I say I’m ‘zany’ hahaha. I have a very strange/sick sense of humour and I must admit I spend a lot of time talking to myself. !! Well, I get more sense out of me.! I reckon in a few years I shall be known as the “crazy cat lady” ☺

I am an artist and have a strange mind when it comes to creating my art. I either go completely true to life… right down to the last hair… or I go totally surreal. I have a passion for all things horror/Gothic etc. I’ve always loved horror films and books and I guess that’s why it creeps into my stuff ! Had I been a bit younger I swear I would have been a Goth……luuuuuv it.  Next time around I am gonna be a witch or a cat ☺

I started my Blog several years ago and although I love crafting, my real passion is drawing, and now I just love making digital images.

along with #038 Success Quote from Scribbles Designs

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of SUCCESS exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.

So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. Do you have any SUCCESSES of your own to share? Is there someone in your life that could do with a little praise over a recent achievement? Anyone you would like to congratulate for a unique triumph? Many students graduate around this time of year so a graduation card would be a great choice. Heck, even getting through a two month lockdown with one's sanity in tact is a success all in itself and deserves some cheer! If you'd like to tell us about a success of your own or of someone you know, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like. Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.

I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #80. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.

Then, be sure to join us again on June 15th when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects made with designs from Ike's Art along with projects made with images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors.

If you ever have any questions be sure to EMAIL ME or just leave me a comment.

We look forward to seeing you participate!
