Hello everyone and welcome
to the Path of
Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the first Monday
of the
month and it is time for our latest challenge to begin! We hope that you
and your families continue to stay healthy. It is crazy to think that it will soon be Fall here in the northern hemisphere! As always, time seems to go by so quickly and before we know it the holidays will be upon us!
Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to
understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win
any of the prizes offered. If
you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus
behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details'
tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a
summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right
sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.
Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...
Challenge #94
Optional Twist:
MEDITATE/QUIET TIME
As we continue this year's goal to encourage you to usher more positivity into your life, this month we want you to design a creation that focuses on MEDITATION or simply QUIET TIME. We all need a bit of time to just relax and simply BE. Meditation is a great way to centre yourself but simply being quiet and at ease can go a long way in achieving stillness as well. Maybe you'll be inspired in your meditation or quiet time to come up with a project for this month. This could include cards, journals, wall hangings, etc. You could also go with a “time” theme…clocks, hourglass, etc. Embrace calm to help you through a busy time of year: back to school, end of year work goals, etc. Poetry, scriptures, philosophy are other options to explore. It all depends on how you personally spend your quiet time. For some, just colouring or journaling can be effective ways of bringing about calm. This month, sit back and allow stillness to help inspire you down the Path of Positivity!
In order to be considered eligible for this
month's prizes, remember that general types of projects/posts will not
qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational,
motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post
promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your
project will be disqualified. Prizes this month include:
- THREE images from Tindaloo Digi Doodle Stamps, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
- ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
- One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
Talking of our guest sponsor...
We are very pleased to have Tindaloo Digi Doodle Stamps join us as this month's guest sponsor. It is time for us to get to know the details of this awesome company!
The Tindaloo Doodle beginnings...
My name is Hilde Larsen, but I'm mostly known online as Tindaloo. I am a 40+ year geeky fangirl, gamer, bookworm & crafter ~ living in Norway, north of the artic circle. Home for me is the arcipelago of islands that is Vesterålen. And also close to my heart, our neighbouring archipelago, the Lofoten islands. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains, woods, lakes and the wide open sea ~ a breathtaking work of art that I look out at every day! Love taking photos and travelling ♥
I absolutely luv playing in my craftroom with my fave crafty hobbies ~ stamping, painting and making cards. I've always doodled now and then, like we all have ~ in the margins of notebooks n while talking on the phone... And I was an aspiring artist as a child, always drawing ~ living in a constant fantasy world... but as I grew up I kind of just stopped.. in favor of the boring time consuming things, like an education *lol*
In recent years I have become very inspired by all the pretty doodle and 'zen tangle' artwork I have seen people do around the web, it has become increasingly popular to doodle and color in patterned images. And I reminded myself, hey ~ once YOU was able to draw! So back in 2015 I sat down with my fancy staedler & micron pens and created my first real drawing in many years, forgot how much fun they are! And out of a wish to share my doodles, a small etsy shoppe was born 😊
So that was the beginning of this adventure ~ Digi Doodle Stamps by Tindaloo!I hope you'll enjoy my doodles and have fun crafting ♥Personal Blog: https://tindaloo.blogspot.com/

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of MEDITATION/QUIET TIME exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.
So what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. What do you do to usher in some QUIET TIME? Do you engage in the practice of MEDITATION? There are so many different forms of meditation--even going for a walk can be meditative in nature. While it can be difficult to find the time to just sit and be still, or engage in meditative practices, it has been proven to be beneficial to our health to do so. If you'd like to tell us what types of MEDITATION you practice or the ways that you usher in QUIET TIME into your own life, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like. Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.
I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #93. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.
Then, be sure to join us again on September 20th when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects made with designs from Tindaloo Digi Doodle Stamps along with projects made with images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors.
If you ever have any questions be sure to EMAIL ME or just leave me a comment.
We look forward to seeing you participate!
