Summer Break Reminder

Hello there folks! I'm just popping in with a reminder that we are taking the month of July off. I mentioned it during the posts published in June but figured it would be best to remind everyone in a separate post as well.

Over the last few years, we have made the decision to take time off in the summer and thus will be off for the month of July. We take a break for the following reasons:
  1. Since it is summer time here in North America, Britain, Europe and other locales in the northern hemisphere, many of our players are out of the house and enjoying the warmer weather;
  2. My hard working Design Team deserves a little bit of time off; and
  3. It gives me the opportunity to do some catching up with everything I'm always so far behind on by mid year.
Now if you are waiting on the Top Picks and Winner Announcement from our June challenge, we'll be back with those posts in August, taking place during the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month in their regular spots.

I truly hope that you will all continue to support us when we return on August 2nd (as long as everything goes according to plan) for our next challenge.

For the time being, I really hope that those of you living in the northern hemisphere are all enjoying your summer and for those of you in the southern hemisphere, I hope that your winter isn't too harsh. I know that while this year is a better year for some, it is still posing certain challenges for others; so, it is my fondest hope that you are able to make the most out of it!

Take care everyone, stay walking on your own Path of Positivity if you can and we'll see you all again real soon.

Ch. #92--Opt. Twist: Try Something NEW...Midway

Hey folks! Welcome back to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the third Monday of the month and that means that it is time to present the midway for Challenge #92. Before we start, I just want to say that I hope that each of you continue to stay well in your own little communities across this world.

As we are a unique kind of challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. Please be sure to check out the START POST FOUND HERE for the specific details related to this month's challenge, and you can find out all the general details you need to know in order to participate, by clicking on the 'Challenge Details' tab (located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can now be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.
Right now, it is time to continue with our midway. Here is a refresher of the details for our current twist:

Challenge #92

Optional Twist:

Try Something NEW

Continuing with the idea of bringing more positivity into your life this year, this month we want you to design a creation that focuses on TRYING SOMETHING NEW. This could be trying a new craft technique, or designing a journal/scrapbook page sharing a new experience. Reach out beyond your comfort zone to feel proud and rejuvenated! We could always use New Techniques on any image; or, maybe colouring an image we might not normally choose would be a new experience. If you typically make cards and stick to basic rectangle and square shapes, you could always try a new card shape or be really brave and try a fancy-fold! Then of course, there is the idea of trying something new in your life and then creating some sort of project to reflect that experience, like Carole has done with her start project. Which ever direction you lean towards, this month it is time to have a new experience one way or the other!
In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Prizes this month include:
  • THREE images from Pattie's Creations, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Talking of our sponsors...

To learn more about Pattie's Creations, this month's guest sponsor, be sure to check out the START post; and of course, also pay this generous company a visit.

During the midway, you will also be seeing projects from half of the team using images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors. Scribbles Designs will be providing the prize for the Most Inspirational choice during each challenge in 2021. Please be sure to pop over and check out the amazing images offered up by Sandy Sommerfeld, the designer behind Scribbles Designs.

To help inspire you further down the path of TRYING SOMETHING NEW, check out the wonderful projects my Design Team had the opportunity to create.

Clicking on each team member's name will take you to their blog where you can check out the details for their inspirational creations. If you are interested in purchasing the image featured in a particular creation, you can click on the link indicated below the project…
using Three Birdhouses from Patties Creations

using  #129 Carla Diet Queen Diva from Scribbles Designs

using Hot Air Balloon Ride from Patties Creations

Thanks again to my fabulous design team! As always, each of them have their own exceptional approaches and concepts which impress me to no end. Each of these creations has demonstrated the theme of TRYING SOMETHING NEW admirably and I hope we have encouraged you throughout this challenge to come up with your own piece of handiwork. Be sure to go and visit these talented ladies so you can see just how their projects tie in to the twist.

Why not join us, if you haven't entered already? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. Sometimes we get in the habit of just doing the same things over and over again, whether in our lives or in our crafting. However, it is important to stretch ourselves every so often and Try Something NEW. It can be something big like taking a class in a subject that has always interested you but you've never had the nerve to do. It could be something as small as simply trying a new technique in regards to your crafting. The act itself isn't important, it is stepping out to try something out of your comfort zone that counts. Growth is an important part of our lives so this month take the opportunity to Try Something NEW and do a little growing of your own. If you'd like to tell us about the NEW experience you undertook this month, we'd love to hear it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit. Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it is just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post! You can find our list of participants and enter our latest challenge yourself by clicking HERE and scrolling down to the bottom of the post.

Please show your support to our wonderful sponsors by going over and checking out their work and saying hi if you have the chance. You may also just find an image or two to add your your collection!

Along with Pattie's Creations, our guest sponsor this challenge, and Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors, we also have two additional ongoing sponsors including...

Thank you so much to all these awesome companies for their
continued support of this challenge blog!

Ch. #91 Top Picks: Voting Open June 14 to June 21/21

Hello folks!  As we continue to endure challenges around the world with the problems that the D-strain of the virus is causing in some locales, I hope that your Path this past week has included a number of positive moments along the route and that you and your families are all doing your best to stay healthy and happy.
It is time to present the top picks from the last challenge. Since we had 31 amazing entries in Challenge #91 (click HERE to see the original challenge with the theme of Change Your ENVIRONMENT), it is time to get on with showcasing the seven projects and/or write-ups that touched the team the most. In case you are new and wondering why seven and not the typical three, four or even five? Any time that we have more than 14 entries, we have a top seven (with 14 entries or under we just have a top three). We always strive to be a bit different over here on the Path of Positivity and this is just another way to do so. Additionally, seven is a spiritual number and thus right in the wheelhouse of the vibe we are looking to project; so, seven it is when enough people join in.

Thus, without further ado, please let me introduce you to the Top Picks for Challenge #91

Congrats Ladies...

As a participant who has been chosen as a Top Pick in this challenge,
you are entitled to a special Challenge #91 Top Pick Badge.
Please feel free to grab a copy for your blog...

Now the really hard work starts. It is time for you, our readers, to vote for your favourite entry. Which participant most inspires you? Remember, you are not necessarily voting on a creation that was made. You might simply find what the person had to say in their post to be inspiring and optimistic. Please be sure to go and check out the entries first and not just make your choices off of the thumbnails. Then, let us know who your favourite choice is by placing your vote below using the Linky Tools feature. Once you have made your decision, why not go back and let that person know how she inspired you.

 Good luck everyone!

Voting open June 14th
through June 21st
