Ch. #95--Opt. Twist: Fall Into a BOOK......Midway

Hey folks! Welcome back to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the third Monday of the month and that means that it is time to present the midway for Challenge #95. Before we start, I just want to say that I hope that each of you continue to stay well in your own little communities across this world.

As we are a unique kind of challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. Please be sure to check out the START POST FOUND HERE for the specific details related to this month's challenge, and you can find out all the general details you need to know in order to participate, by clicking on the 'Challenge Details' tab (located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can now be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.

Right now, it is time to continue with our midway. Here is a refresher of the details for our current twist:

Challenge #95

Optional Twist:

Fall Into a BOOK

As we continue this year's goal to encourage you to usher more positivity into your life, this month we want you to design a project influenced by a BOOK or STORY. Getting lost in a great book/story/poetry/prose is a wonderful way to relax and find some positivity! The wonderful thing about the written word is that it can take you to so many places whether fictional or non-fictional! By falling into a book you could explore places that you've always wanted to visit or learn about animals that fascinate you. You could explore different cultures and languages all from the safety of your own home! When it comes to the fictional world, so many additional worlds can open up to you. As you can see, this month's twist is pretty open for interpretation. It all depends on what books carry you away to positive places! So, this month, sit back, crack a book open and let it help to inspire a new adventure down the Path of Positivity!

In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, remember that general types of  projects/posts will not qualify for the prizes UNLESS they are also positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Additionally, even if a project may qualify as positive, if your post promotes negativity, hatred or anything of an abhorrent nature, your project will be disqualified. Prizes this month include:
  • Four select images (see below) from Ike's Art, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Talking of our sponsors...

Ike's Art

To learn more about Ike's Art, this month's guest sponsor, be sure to check out the START post; and of course, also pay this generous company a visit.

http://buyscribblesdesigns.blogspot.ca/

During the midway, you will also be seeing projects from half of the team using images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors. Scribbles Designs will be providing the prize for the Most Inspirational choice during each challenge in 2021. Please be sure to pop over and check out the amazing images offered up by Sandy Sommerfeld, the designer behind Scribbles Designs.

To help inspire you further down the path of FALLING INTO A BOOK, check out the wonderful projects my Design Team had the opportunity to create. Clicking on each team member's name will take you to their blog where you can check out the details for their inspirational creations.

Now unfortunately, Ike's Art is having to relocate the Store due to problems with Zibbet, the store vendor. If anyone wants to see images for a specific category then please email Ike at: ikesart {at} hotmail {dot} com. I've listed the image that each team member used below their project.

Thanks again to my fabulous design team! As always, each of them have their own exceptional approaches and concepts which impress me to no end. Each of these creations has demonstrated the theme of FALLING INTO A BOOK admirably and I hope we have encouraged you throughout this challenge to come up with your own piece of handiwork. Be sure to go and visit these talented ladies so you can see just how their projects tie in to the twist.

Why not join us, if you haven't entered already? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. What kinds of BOOKS set you off on a positive path? Do you relax with Non-Fiction or do you prefer Fiction? What types of stories do you relate best to? LITERATURE can take you to so many places if you just let it. You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit. Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it is just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post! You can find our list of participants and enter our latest challenge yourself by clicking HERE and scrolling down to the bottom of the post.

Ch. #94 Top Picks: Voting Open Oct. 11 to Oct. 18/21

WELCOME TO THE CHALLENGE #94 POP TOP!

Hello folks! I hope that your Path this past week has included a number of positive moments along the route and that you and your families are all doing your best to stay healthy and happy.

It is time to present the top picks from the last challenge. Sadly, we only had six entries in Challenge #94 (click HERE to see the original challenge with the theme of MEDITATE/QUIET TIME); so, for the second time this year we don't have enough entries to have a Top Seven but we did have enough people participate that we can have a Top Three. As such, it is time to get on with showcasing the three projects and/or write-ups that touched the team the most.

Thus, without further ado, please let me introduce you to the Top Picks for Challenge #94

Congrats Ladies...

As a participant who has been chosen as a Top Pick in this challenge,
you are entitled to a special Challenge #94 Top Pick Badge.
Please feel free to grab a copy for your blog...

HAVE YOUR SAY!

Now the really hard work starts. It is time for you, our readers, to vote for your favourite entry. Which participant most inspires you? Remember, you are not necessarily voting on a creation that was made. You might simply find what the person had to say in their post to be inspiring and optimistic. Please be sure to go and check out the entries first and not just make your choices off of the thumbnails. Then, let us know who your favourite choice is by placing your vote below using the Linky Tools feature. Once you have made your decision, why not go back and let that person know how she inspired you.

 Good luck everyone!

Voting open October 11th
through
October 18th

Ch. #95--Opt. Twist: Fall Into a BOOK...Oct. 4─Oct. 31

Hello everyone and welcome to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the first Monday of the month and it is time for our latest challenge to begin! We hope that you and your families continue to stay healthy. Apologies for the late posting. Unfortunately, I've got a bad infection again, second of the year, and it is taking a toll on my health and energy. Thankfully, I at least managed to get this post out while it is still Monday.

Since we are not your typical challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work in order to be sure you are eligible to win any of the prizes offered. If you are new to this unique challenge, you can find out the impetus behind why I started it under the 'Introductions' tab and you can find out all the details you need to know in order to participate, in the 'Challenge Details' tab (both tabs located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can also be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.

Right now, it is time to get down to the business of our latest challenge. Here is what you need to know...

Talking of our guest sponsor...

We are very pleased to have Ike's Art back as this month's guest sponsor. Here is a refresher of what this company is all about...

Hi there – I am Ike……a nickname that I got hooked with many years ago due to my surname, and in my profession at that time, …… they just loved to give nicknames ☺.

I live in Greece and have a passion for kitties ☺

I am a complete nutter or should I say I’m ‘zany’ hahaha. I have a very strange/sick sense of humour and I must admit I spend a lot of time talking to myself. !! Well, I get more sense out of me.! I reckon in a few years I shall be known as the “crazy cat lady” ☺

I am an artist and have a strange mind when it comes to creating my art. I either go completely true to life… right down to the last hair… or I go totally surreal. I have a passion for all things horror/Gothic etc. I’ve always loved horror films and books and I guess that’s why it creeps into my stuff ! Had I been a bit younger I swear I would have been a Goth……luuuuuv it.  Next time around I am gonna be a witch or a cat ☺

I started my Blog several years ago and although I love crafting, my real passion is drawing, and now I just love making digital images.

Personal Blog:       http://suzy-ikesworld.blogspot.com Challenge Blog:  http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.com  Cat Lovers’ Challenge: http://showusyourpussies.blogspot.gr/ IKEsART FaceBook Fan Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/IkesArtFanPage/

Now check out what my amazing design team came up with to inspire you.

My wonderful design team continues to outdo themselves time and time again! They each have their own style and clever interpretation of the twist. Even after all this time, I continue to be astounded by the scope of greatness in their work! Each of these artful conceptions has showcased the notion of BEING INSPIRED BY LITERATURE exceptionally and I hope we have inspired you. Be sure to go and visit each team member so you can see how her project further connects to the twist.

So what are you waiting for? Finally, remember that we're trying to create a Path of Positivity so if you have some time, please visit other people participating throughout the month.

I hope to see you back next week when voting will [hopefully] begin on the Top Picks for Challenge #94. There will be a separate post detailing those picks where you will have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most positive, inspirational or encouraging of the chosen picks.

Then, be sure to join us again on October 18th when we'll be back with our midway featuring more great projects made with designs from Ike's Art along with projects made with images from Scribbles Designs, one of our on-going sponsors.

If you ever have any questions be sure to EMAIL ME or just leave me a comment.

We look forward to seeing you participate!
