👏 New Member Joining Us!!!

Hello everyone! I hope that none of you were pranked too badly this morning. I have some exciting news to share and this definitely isn't an April Fool's Day joke.

I am excited to let you know that we have a new team member joining us. Goodness, it has been five years since I've been able to say those words! It is also perfect timing since our already very small team recently became a duo with the loss of Suze in December. Thankfully, someone that I have been trying to get on this team for many years now, is finally in a place in her life where she has more leisure time and is looking to embark on new adventures to fill up some of that free time!

I won't keep you in suspense any longer. Kathy from My Asperations will be joining us. Kathy has been a supporter of this blog for several years now and thankfully she was in a position to take on some new design team work. We are so incredibly lucky to have this amazing woman join us. Her bright optimism and awesome design skills will definitely be assets to the team. Let's get to know her a bit, shall we?

Hello, my name is Kathy Asper. I’ve loved to draw, color and create since I could hold a pencil! In 1996 I was introduced to rubber stamps… and they became my favorite therapy! Fast forward to digi stamps, which allowed me to resize images, and alcohol inks, which are… well,.. magical! I started blogging in 2017, which lead me to the Path of Positivity Challenge, which has become a favorite of mine. I am thrilled to be joining Lisa’s Design Team, and look forward to helping promote positivity in my future posts!

Please join me in welcoming Kathy to the team. You will get to see one of her amazing creations in just a few days as she officially comes on board, beginning this Monday evening, on April 7th. To visit Kathy beforehand, just click on her blog badge or name above.

If you, yourself, happen to have some extra time in your schedule and would like to consider joining our small but mighty team, send me a message at decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {ca} so that we can further discuss the details.

I hope to see you all very soon when Challenge #130 begins! Toodles until next time!!!

New Member Joining Us!!!

Hello everyone! I hope that you enjoyed your holiday.

I am popping in today to let you know that we have a new team member joining us. Back in October I started wooing one of our participants to see if she might join us here on our team and lucky girl that I am, she agreed! With the loss of Julie and Pat who are both still on leaves of absences, our usually small team became really small with just three members! Thankfully, with the addition of our newest member we'll be back up to four at least. Incredibly, it has been exactly three years since we brought on our last member so it was definitely time to add to our talent!

I won't keep you in suspense any more. Carole from Craftilicious Creations will be joining us. Carole has been a supporter of the blog for some time now and thankfully she was in a position to take on some new design team work. We are so very fortunate to have this wonderful woman join us. Her positive outlook and incredible design skills will definitely be assets to the team. Let's get to know her a bit, shall we?

Hello! I'm Carole and I’m from the North West of England where it’s often cloudy and mostly raining! I live with my lovely hubby and our kitty, Casey.

I have been creating for as long as I can remember. I love all types of arts and crafts and will happily have a go at any. In the past, besides getting inky, painty, sticky and glittery with paper crafts, I have knitted, sewed, quilted, embroidered, cross stitched, made batik, made and swapped Pocket Letters and scrapbooked. I am enjoying mosaic workshops at the moment and hope to attend a glass fusing course this year. At the moment I am working on improving my art journal skills. I’m lucky to have a room at home where I can create. I spend hours in there, getting lost in the creative process and losing all track of time. At the moment I’m enjoying making cards, ATCs and recycling/altering boxes, tins and such like. I design for a few companies and would describe my style as eclectic, loving everything from cute and whimsical to shabby chic and vintage. I enjoy working with digital images and pretty design papers, but I also like to incorporate stamping and mixed media techniques and enjoy getting my fingers inky. When I’m not buried in my craft room, I enjoy reading, gardening, yoga, pilates and travelling.

I am so excited to have been invited to join the Path of Positivity Design Team.

Please join me in welcoming Carole to the team. You will get to see one of her amazing creations in just a few days as she officially comes on board for our very first challenge of the year, beginning this Monday evening, January 6th. To visit Carole beforehand, just click on her blog badge or name above.

I hope to see you all very soon when Challenge #76 begins!

New Changes for 2017!

It is a new year and changes are something that always seem to walk hand in hand as one year unfolds into the next. It is no different over here on the Path of Positivity.

Unfortunately, this past year we have seen a significant reduction in the number of players. In an effort to hopefully increase participation, we've made a decision to change our themes from mandatory to optional. HOWEVER, ALL creations must STILL be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. Participants must follow the theme in order to win the prize for Most Inspirational but all entries that abide by the general rules of the challenge, will be eligible to receive the random prize.

We also ask that participants continue to add a sentence on their blog (preferably) or in a comment on the challenge post, explaining how their project ties in with the theme. Also, we now ask that if you do follow the optional theme, that you add FT after your name so that we can include you in the draw for the prize for Most Inspirational.

We have eliminated the prize for leaving a comment and also for the extra quote for everyone who enters. Both these prizes were originally added to encourage participation but this sadly hasn't been the case. Rarely were the prizes requested so we might as well not bother with them at all. There will still be a free sentiment offered at the start and midway of each challenge.

Finally, we'll also be eliminating one post a month by combining the DT Delights choices with the winner's announcement.

Along with changes to the challenge, there is also going to be a change to our team. I am excited to announce that we have a new Design Team member. Helen N. from Crafting Helen will be joining us. Helen has been a supporter of the blog throughout the past couple of years and I'm thrilled that her schedule opened up allowing her to take on some new design team work. We are so very lucky to have this talented woman join us. She will definitely be an asset to our little team. Let's get to know her a bit, shall we?

My name is Helen and I live in a small town called West Kirby which is in the north west of Britain - the nearest big city to us is Liverpool.  I work for an organisation called The Abbeyfield Society which is a world-wide charity providing care for older people.  I'm an Activities Coordinator and I work in a care home and two sheltered houses providing activities for the residents.  We craft, play dominoes, do crosswords and do chair exercises as well as enjoying music and films together.  I've been making cards for many years and love stamping, working with digi stamps and colouring with Promarkers. I also teach regular card making workshops and contribute to crafting magazine.

Please join me in welcoming Helen to the team. You will get to see one of her inspirational creations tomorrow evening as she officially comes on board for challenge #45. To visit Helen beforehand, just click on her blog badge above.

We hope that all of our regular players will be okay with the new changes. We also hope that these changes will help to encourage more people to join our Path each month. Please grab our badge and help to spread the word.

May this new year bring new beginnings, new possibilities and new choices for each of you to pursue!
